Executive support
Complex diaries, priorities, travel and the follow-through that keeps decisions moving.
Useful, thoughtful, quietly obsessive
I step into the operational gaps, sort out what’s getting stuck and keep the day-to-day moving, so you can focus on the work only you can do.
What I do
Complex diaries, priorities, travel and the follow-through that keeps decisions moving.
Practical processes, tools and workflows that make the business easier to run, not harder.
From team offsites and launches to presentations, communications and one-off problem solving.
Sensible ways to use AI and automation to reduce repetitive work and give time back to the team.
“Clare came to us when we were still a startup and kept all the plates spinning while we scaled from 20 people to over 100.”
Patrick O’Connor
CEO, Gatekeeper
Experienced, decidedly not corporate
I spent six years as EA to the CEO of a fast-scaling, fully remote SaaS business, supporting the company from startup stage through to private equity investment.
Before that, I worked in senior PA roles across private equity and property. I’m comfortable with the detail, but I’m always looking at the bigger picture: what’s causing friction, what’s being missed and what would make everything work better.
Based in Cornwall. Working remotely with clients across the UK.

A bit about me
I’m Clare, a freelance EA and operations partner with more than twenty years’ experience. I’m tech-savvy, naturally curious and particularly good at taking something muddled and turning it into something clear, useful and workable.
I care about how things feel as well as how they function. That might mean creating a document that is genuinely pleasant to use, finding a simpler way to run a process or noticing the small details that make the whole thing work better.
I live in Cornwall and love being close to the sea, whether I’m walking the coast path, swimming or surfing. I also love good food and restaurants, have a particular weakness for Basque cheesecake, and I’m a sucker for interiors and abstract art.
I enjoy learning about different businesses and the people behind them, from start-ups and one-person businesses to established companies. I’m naturally curious about how things work, where they get stuck and what could make them run more smoothly.
I work with tools including Google Workspace, Slack, Asana, Notion, Monday, TravelPerk, AccessOwl, ChatGPT and Claude. But the tool is never the point. The point is making the work simpler.
